THE MISFITS BBC

so i  dont know if you are informed on how fantastically awesome the show Misfits is, but lemme be one of the first at least to tell you, im addicted. its fresh, its fun, its edgy, all the components i love in a show. Misfits is a British comedy-drama which means it has no sensors lol, about a group of young offenders forced to work in a community service programme, where they attain supernatural powersafter a strange electrical storm. now i honestly started watching this show on HULU expecting to hate it, or stop watching it at least after 5 minutes. buuut it got me. its currently going into its third season The first series started broadcasting on 12 November 2009 on E4, and was produced by Clerkenwell Films. The show aired in Australia in 2010 on ABC2.

Filming for the second series began on 24 May 2010, next to Southmere Lake, Thamesmead. The second series aired from 11 November 2010 to 16 December 2010 on E4. A third series was officially confirmed. A 60-minute Christmas special, written by Howard Overman, featuring the whole main cast of the first series was broadcast on E4 in December 2010.
The series won the 2010 BAFTA Television Award for Best Drama Series]
On April 10, 2011 it was announced that actor Robert Sheehan will not be returning for the third series.

Attack The Block

Now i am a huuuuge fan of BBC, i just love it, and one of my favorite shows is SKINS, so when i found out, the creators of shaun of the dead, were making a movie about aliens invading the ghetto of great Britain, i kinda flipped my damn lid. Set on a council estate in South London on Bonfire night, the film follows a gang of youths, Moses (John Boyega), Pest (Alex Esmail), Dennis (Franz Drameh), Jerome (Leeon Jones) and Biggz (Simon Howard). While they are mugging a male nurse Sam (Jodie Whittaker), a fiery object falls from the sky, crashing through the roof of a parked car near them. When they investigate, they discover a creature who was part of the meteor and kill it. Soon more aliens follow and the gang have to defend themselves from them. it looks hilarious and just plain fun, and the cast is in my opinion brilliantly picked, and a rare side of London than America is used to seeing. watch the trailer below.  The film currently has no American distributor but after the reaction of the press and attendees at the SXSW premiere, it is highly unlikely it will stay this way. US distributors are concerned by the thick South London accents and that American audiences won't understand them, because lets face it, American are not cultured and sadly they may even use subtitles if it is released in the United States. Cornish acknowledged this during the SXSW Q and A When he asked the audience "Can I ask you guys something? American distributors are nervous about language, the slang, could you understand it?", but the audience "shot back a resounding yes." so hopefully it will not be dumbed down for the Yanks. Early buzz is extremely positive. Following its premiere at SXSW, Scott Wampler of The Examiner rated it A+ and said it was officially the best film of the festival and liked it to other debuts such as Neil Blomkamp's District 9 and Quentin Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs. Matt Patches writing for Cinemablend said "Attack the Block, even on its small scale, may wind up as one of the best action movies of the year". IGN gave it four stars saying "Cornish directs with the confidence of a seasoned pro" and calling the film "a blast from start-to-finish." The film currently holds a 100% "fresh" review score on Rotten Tomatoes.
