BLACK SWAN

I had the pleasure of seeing Black Swan Last Saturday, and with all hype and expectations, i was prepared to like it, but i was hardly prepared to LOVE it, this is a movie that was masterfully designed and casted, but the star of the sky, is the talented, and beautiful, Natalie Portman. I have always thought i was a Natalie Portman fan, and have always appreciated her in her roles, be it, a digital short on SNL, or a queen of Naboo, in Star Wars, or a seedy, pink wig wearing stripper in CLOSER, but something always fell short for me, i never really believed and subscribed to her character, nor do i think she had, i feel like she never lost herself in the role, so when she as a stripper, says things like "Fuck" and other over sexual things, it felt like a child playing a twisted version of pretend, But Black swan eases you into a dark transformation of a character, it is a gradual change, that by the end, you are unaware that its the loving beautiful princess padme that you forced urself to love, i loved every frame, i loved every word. if its playing in a theater near you, you best hop in a plane, train, or automobile and watch this amazing adaptation of SWAN LAKE. its Natalie Portman's window to the OSCAR.
